Martin Aynscomb-Harris
Born in Farnham, Surrey in 1937, Martin studied art at;
- Folkestone and Dover School of Art 1953-55
- Medway College of Art 1955-56
- Wimbledon College of Art 1956-58
- Hornsey College of Art 1958-59.
His style continually evolved as he experimented with colour and a variety of mediums.
His work has been extensively exhibited throughout the UK and internationally and can be found in many private collections.
I have fond memories of Martin, who used to visit the gallery with his lady friend, who would join with him in inviting me to join his artists commune in Medway. I never visited as I was always too busy working with my full time job and the gallery to run. I regret that now. My “other life”, working in pharmaceuticals, often took me to Medway Hospital, which had a collection of his larger works on the walls of the corridors.
